STRENGTH IN NUMBERS

Launched in 2012, as a means to help women at a local shelter gain their financial independence. We conducted a thorough needs assessment speaking with social service program participants, case support workers, and even local banking representatives, leading to our partnership with a major financial institution. This partnership ensured our program would cover core financial literacy topics including: financial goal setting, money management, banking, and budgeting. In our first year, we helped over 30 women gain their financial independence. Our program is free for participants and is adaptable to meet the cultural and social requirements of any audience.

In addition to offering our traditional workshops, we also offer  ‘Strength In Numbers online’ in an effort to meet demand and provide a relevant platform for our program participants. Over the years participants reported putting an average of $50 each month toward debt reduction and increasing monthly savings by $25
